Evocation | Short Film

Evocation:  noun

1. the act of bringing or recalling a feeling, memory, or image to the conscious mind.

2. the action of invoking a spirit or deity.​

I created “Evocation” for educational use and submitted it as my Film Studies/Mass Communications final.  All video is original gameplay video captured footage from Cyberpunk 2077. The scenes depict an intense time-sensitive recovery mission involving auto-ballistic and cyber-enhanced weaponry, set in the fictional location of "Night City" near the beginning of the game. The song is “Nightfall” by Mimi Page, from the Dark Soundtrack. A similarity in naming, though otherwise, a selected dichotomy. However, the gameplay pacing and accompanying soundtrack, along with the songs lower tempo and choral ambiance, find harmony through unedited music and edited video, in this intertwining of the two.
